Donnie's ability to re-create Elvis in every era vocally, along with his resemblance to Elvis has been catching the attention of several people.

When asked how does it feel to be an Elvis Tribute Artist? Donnie smiles and says “I'm no tribute to Elvis, not even close, I'd prefer to be recognized as an artist who respects and loves Elvis. Every performance is a learning experience, both in music and love. In all honesty, I'm really just a country singer, who owes a lot to Elvis.“
